This volume of the Catalog of the Most-Loved Places contains Mobile, Alabama's Oakleigh historic district, the arts retreat of Monteagle, Tennessee, and the Village of Tannin in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Mobile was one of the first places I shot in 2000. Monteagle is probably my least successful shoot, as I was still learning to catalog buildings in a wooded setting. If you're buying this volume for Monteagle, do so in order to see why you want to visit, not for the beauty of the images as there are only two 4-star images in the entire shoot.
The Village of Tannin is an amazing shoot, done only five weeks after the area endured the eye of Hurricane Ivan. As you'll see from these images, the Village of Tannin was virtually unscathed, while buildings for miles around were severely damaged or blown to bits.
Mobile and Monteagle were shot at 2 megapixels (1,600 x 1,200 pixels) while Tannin was shot at 5 megapixels (2,560 x 1,920 pixels). This volume contains approximately 985 images. It is available for download once you have purchased it. Payments are handled by Sellfy; you can use either a credit card or PayPal.
